Some further information about the course:

BMT Design & Technology will conduct the 12th Submarine Design and Engineering course during May 2014 in Sydney.
The course delves into the design and engineering of modern conventional class (diesel-electric) submarines, focusing on the requirements and complexities associated with the integration of submarine systems and equipment.
Course topics include:
•          Weapons and sensors
•          Dynamics and control
•          Propulsion
•          Energy generation
•          Systems and structures
Over 150 attendees have benefited from the course, which draws together international and Australian experience in the fields of Submarine Naval Architecture, and Mechanical, Electrical and Systems Engineering.

An additional course highlight is the BMT Design and Technology developed Concept Submarine Exploration Model, which allows participants to analyse the effects of altering key design parameters on cost and performance as well as produce a 3D visualisation of their design.
